BBFA Stars
Recognising and rewarding volunteers
Who shines all-year-round?
Nominate the stars of your league, club, or team for an award in our new #BBFAStars monthly volunteer recognition scheme.
#BBFAStars is a volunteer engagement initiative that aims to recognise and reward the volunteers across the county that the grassroots game in Berks & Bucks depend upon. It uses their inspirational examples and personal stories to raise awareness of the game and encourage new faces to get involved.
Each month we'll be taking to Twitter and asking for your nominations of those priceless volunteers that the grassroots game in our county depend on week-in, week-out.
The winner of each months category will have their story featured on our website and receive a £20 voucher of their choice from a range of popular suppliers, such as; Amazon, The Restaurant Choice, Next, Argos, etc.
How does it work?
The winner will be contacted to confirm their prize and to feature their story on the Berks & Bucks FA website. We will also contact all nominees on Twitter to acknowledge their nomination and say thank you.

Frequently asked questions about BBFA Stars
To nominate someone for a #BBFAStars award, simply reply to our monthly award post asking for nominations (this will be pinned to the top of our feed), or send us a tweet that starts with the following:
“I nominate @Nominee for the #BBFAStars Chairperson award because…”
You have 240 characters to let us know you are nominating. Don't forget to use the #BBFAStars (otherwise we might not see it!) and to tag in the person and/or club/league they are from.
The nominations received will be collated and a panel will decide which four will be progressed to a Twitter poll/vote. Only one nomination per individual can be in the final vote. All nominees will receive a thank you tweet from the Berks & Bucks FA account acknowledging their nomination.
A public Twitter poll/vote will then run for seven days, with links in the comments section of the poll showing the final nominations so people can read and decide who they choose to receive the award. The final results will then be made public once the poll closes.
The winner of the poll will receive a £20 voucher (choice of a selection of retailers) and a feature article on the Berks & Bucks FA website, as well as an invite to the County FA Awards Evening, to recognise their continued support of the grassroots game in our county.
