Vacancy | Football Development Officer (Facilities & Investment)
Location: This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work remotely from the Berks & Bucks FA office (Milton Park, OX14 4SB), home and around the County.
Salary: Band 4 (£26,280-£32,121) per annum, dependent on experience.
Hours: 35 hours per week. (Requirement to work evenings and weekends in line with the demands of the role.)
Contract: Full time - Fixed Term Contract (Expiring June 2028).
Additional Information: Following appointment, the opportunity to apply internally to manage the Participation Team alongside this role, will be available. A salary enhancement would be applied if successful.
The opportunity

This role will focus on improving and developing football facilities, to ensure we are leaving no-one out of the game and providing participants the best possible environment
We know that football has the power to 'Connect People & Change Lives' and this is why we are looking to recruit a passionate and energetic individual to join the Development Team. The successful individual will work alongside partners to ensure that new facilities are developed in priority areas to deliver on key football and community outcomes. There will also be a focus on working with the Football Foundation to increase the number of ‘Good’ quality grass pitches.

Main responsibilities
• To ensure that every affiliated football fixture is played on a ‘good’ quality pitch.
• Activate and deliver key football facility developments for 3G Pitches, Changing Rooms and Small-Sided facilities. Ensuring sites deliver valuable football development outcomes
• Develop collaborative working partnerships with local authorities, clubs, leagues, schools and other facility providers.
• Promote the Football Foundation’s Small Grant Scheme to clubs, leagues and other local partners

Who we're looking for...
• Practical experience in sports / football development
• Understanding of operations and challenges faced by grassroots clubs, community organisations and the Voluntary Sector
• Creative problem solving and decision making skills

• You have a working knowledge of the Football Foundation and key partners
