BBFA Respect Awards

BBFA Respect Awards

Launching a season-long Award campaign promoting positive behaviour in the game.

We are excited to introduce the RESPECT Awards: Promote the Standard, a new initiative designed to celebrate and recognise outstanding contributions to fair play and respect within the football community.

This initiative forms a central part to our commitment to tackle poor behaviour and celebrate positive environments for all in the game.

The RESPECT Awards are given to teams or clubs who go above and beyond to uphold the values of:

Respecting the officials
Ethical conduct
Sportsmanship
Positive player and coach behaviour
Encouragement
Community Engagement
Team Spirit

Each month we will turn our focus to one of the Respect Standards, launched this season by The FA, clearly setting out expectations of behaviours in the grassroots game. The standards are reflected in the new Grassroots Code and supported by Codes of Conduct, so be sure to use this to form the basis of your nominations.

We are encouraging team managers, coaches, and referees to nominate teams or clubs who embody the RESPECT values. The process is simple:

1. Identify your nominee
2. Submit your nomination form
3. Our panel of judges will review all nominations and select winners based on their commitment to promoting respect.

Winners of the monthly awards will we rewarded with a plaque in honour of their positive behaviours as well as recognition across our platforms.

The first Award is launching very soon, so keep and eye out on our socials for how to nominate!
