Vacancy | Football Development Officer (Disability & Adult Rec Football)

Location: This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work remotely from the Berks & Bucks FA office (Milton Park, OX14 4SB), home and around the County.
Salary: Band 4 (£26,280-£32,121) per annum, dependent on experience.
Hours:
35 hours per week. (Requirement to work evenings and weekends in line with the demands of the role.)
Contract: Full time - Fixed Term Contract (Expiring June 2028).

We know that football has the power to 'Connect People & Change Lives' and this is why we are looking to recruit a passionate and energetic individual to join the Development Team, who will be responsible for pro-actively improving & increasing football opportunities for people with disabilities, as well as leading on the co-ordination of local recreational football initiatives.

Main responsibilities 

•  Lead, plan and deliver the Disability football strategy within the County Operational Plan
•  Utilise mapping tools to complete ongoing analysis of the disability provision and work to develop the game across the counties, identifying gaps in provision and opportunities for development.
•  Increase male recreational football participation via non-traditional formats of football (Walking Football, FleXI Leagues and Small-Sided Games).
•  Support and deliver the FA programmes at a local level for the disability and recreational game.

Who we're looking for...

• Someone who can strategically work with partner organisations across different sectors to plan and deliver football programmes.
• Someone with previous experience working in disability sport, with knowledge and understanding of the barriers to participation faced by people with disabilities
• Someone who is creative with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

•  You can highlight issues/challenges, be creative with solutions and make suitable decisions.
•  Knowledge and understanding of the infrastructure and networks that exist within disability football.
